Elections are fundamental to democracy, ensuring accountability and giving a voice to the people. In Nepal, the lack of regular elections for two decades challenged democratic values. However, with the 2015 Constitution, Nepal committed to holding local, provincial, and federal elections by December 2018, a crucial step in its democratic progress.
At Tanneri Chaso, we recognize the importance of elections in shaping governance and accountability. Since the Second Constituent Assembly (CA) election, we have been dedicated to promoting a culture of ‘Clean Election and Capable Candidate’ at all government levels. Our efforts focus on advocating for fair elections, demanding qualified candidates, and holding elected representatives accountable to high standards.
