Actions for clean election, Tanneri Chaso|

As a landmark of Tanneri movement, the network nearly prior to the second constituent election in the country was focused on constructing a fair environment for impartial election through making voters aware. Empowering the voters rational level can only enable them for choosing capable candidate was the belief. Youth’s concern over the electoral process was an initiative to draw the candidates for public vetting and insisting the candidate for conveying durable commitment in front of the voters. Since, the first constituent assembly was ill famed due to misconducts and immoral acts of the parliamentarian, the youths at network were aware that such personalities should be discouraged and people should be able to qualify while choosing their candidates in the next phase of election. With the motive insisting voters for candidate vetting and choose clean and capable candidate, Tanneri Chaso visited many districts with message.

With the set of objectives, Tanneri Chaso selected some districts to launch local level campaigns. Starting from Charikot, Dolakha in Nov 2013, two weeks long programs crossed over villages and town of Dolakha, Nuwakot, Rasuwa, Sindhupalchowk, Dhading, Chitwan, Tanahu, Nawalparasi, Bara, Parsa, Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Kavrepalanchowk. The campaign had another objective to observe the nationwide public whim for the second session of CA election. Hence, participatory involvement of the public to speak out and learn to question their candidates is how Tanneri Chaso turned the objectives into action.
