I’ve always been vocal, even from my school days, but joining Tanneri Chaso’s long workshop transformed how I use my voice. I learned the art of speaking with evidence, and the power of asking the right questions to hold people accountable. It was eye-opening to realize that when I applied these skills in my daily life, my voice was truly heard—and it mattered. That experience empowered me.
Being a common, innocent girl from Gulmi, a far place from Kathmandu, I was empowered to question the power center, and that’s the biggest strength I’ve achieved.
I’ve always cherished the beauty of free speech, and I can’t stand social injustices or the wrongdoings of political leaders. I’ve made it a point to hold them accountable, starting with questioning my local government, and now I challenge leaders of major political parties. Even though I’m no longer in Nepal, I refuse to stay silent. This isn’t just patriotism; it’s a moral awakening—something Tanneri Chaso instilled in me.
I’m also active on social media, where I raise my voice on issues that matter. Though I’ve faced negative comments and even threats, the constant encouragement and support from the Tanneri Chaso team has kept me strong. I’m deeply grateful for this network, which has given me the knowledge and curiosity to explore accountability further.
Being an alum of Tanneri Chaso’s New Media and Debate Workshop is something I’m incredibly proud of. This unforgettable experience boosted my skills, confidence, and drive to keep asking tough questions. The connections I made continue to inspire me, and my confidence has doubled because of them. This network is truly invaluable.
